I was at the beach the other day and saw some girls in modest swimsuits. These were not dour designs at all, but quite colorful and bright, but they did have sleeves that hid the elbows and leggings that covered the knees, with only the neck exposed. What was so notable about them was that they were, in a sense, not demure at all. Is it better to stand out for the attractiveness of one’s apparel than for one’s body? Then again, I suppose these girls would argue that all they’re attracting attention to is their good old-fashioned sense of modesty!
